Juan Ivorra, SENER's new Country Manager in Mexico

SENER has appointed Juan Ivorra as SENER's Country Manager in Mexico, as the replacement for Jorge Sendagorta Cudós, who was recently appointed as SENER's Managing Director of Engineering and Construction.

An industrial engineer educated at the Technical Engineering School of Bilbao (Spain), Juan Ivorra also has a postgraduate degree in Management development from the DBS-ESADE (the School of Business Administration and Direction in Barcelona).

Juan Ivorra started working with SENER in 2000 and, until his recent appointment, served as the Director of Energy Project Engineering. Previously, Ivorra has the positions of Project Manager, Discipline Leader and Head of the Mechanical Section, as well as participating in different energy projects, among them, several combined cycle plants in Mexico, as well as solar and environmental projects in the area of Renewables.

SENER has been present in Mexico with a fully operational division for over 10 years, and today, has established itself as a leading player in the country's Energy and Infrastructure sectors. SENER's offices, located in Mexico City, are composed of 400 professionals who develop strategic infrastructure projects, such as the interurban transport train Toluca - Mexico City, Guadalajara's metro line 3 and power plants, some of which are delivered as turnkey projects, such as the Empalme I and the Agua Prieta II, and combined cycle generation plants such as AFRANRENT and the TG-8 Madero project for PEMEX at the Francisco I Madero refinery.

  The President of SENER, Jorge Sendagorta, has been awarded the Honorary Member's medal, which is granted by the Spanish Institute of Engineering (Instituto de Ingeniería de España, IIE). This institution decided to give the distinction to Jorge Sendagorta after he was nominated by the Spanish Association of Naval and Ocean Engineers, in recognition of his professional career. According to the institution: “It's a prize to the engineer, but undoubtedly also to the engineering carried out at SENER, which is spearheading Spanish engineering around the world and in the most innovative sectors."...
