SENER is currently involved in railway lines and urban transport systems in the Middle East, where the company has local offices in the UAE, Oman and Qatar. Some of them will be shown at the Middle East Rail event, that will take place in Dubai on March 8 and 9.[+]
SENER is awarded the contract to analyse the Granada high-speed train10/09/2018 (Spain)
The Spanish Ministry of Public Works has awarded the engineering and technology group SENER the technical study to adapt the Spanish high-speed (AVE) railroad connection to the city of Granada.
This project, which is scheduled to last 24 months, will analyse the possible scope of work needed to link the railroad to the station, as well as different options to transport goods along the Mediterranean corridor without interfering with normal railroad operation and urban development. The technical study will also cover aspects such as environmental impact and railway safety.
SENER has more than three decades of engineering experience during which it has been involved in more than 3,200 kilometres of high-speed rail. SENER has worked on a total of over 15,000 kilometres of railroad studies and projects, and more than 70 urban transport systems, making it one of the world's leading transport infrastructure companies..
Currently, SENER carries out important works in high speed, such the role of the EDP (Engineering Delivery Partner) contract for HS2 Limited, a public company responsible for developing and promoting the new high-speed rail network in the United Kingdom. As well as in relation to several stretches of the high-speed line in California and the Toluca - Mexico City line, which uses conventional technology, but with an innovative design for complex structures. In Spain, it is participating in high-speed projects for Adif Alta Velocidad and on the Valencia-Castellón high-speed line.
Thanks to its experience, SENER has a complete and integrated perspective on how transport systems are developed, which allows us to be involved in every phase, from planning to design, construction and operation of the line, and to cover every technical function with our own experts.
The School of Industrial and Aeronautic Engineering of Terrassa (ETSEIAT), part of the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC – Barcelona Tech), has awarded the first ever SENER Award which honors outstanding work in the 'Projects' course offered as part of the Aeronautics Engineering Degree and Industrial Engineering Degree courses 'Projects I and II’.... Sol suburban rail station is the largest cavern excavated in city soils in the entire world, being also the largest underground cavern in Europe. SENER’s design has allowed to construct in a very difficult urban environment as Madrid’s Puerta del Sol, especially if we consider the geotechnical conditions, the interference with existing buildings etc.[+]
