EPCM of the Maritime Terminal of Costa Crociere in the Attached Quay of the Port of Barcelona, Spain.
SENER has carried out the definition and construction of the Terminal of Cruises for the company Costa Crociere (Carnival), that will implant its services in a permanent way in the Attached Quay, in the Port of Barcelona. The project has solved the embark and disembarking processes of the ships of the company of Costa Crociere and other shipping that ask for their use.
The building was designed by a volume of rectangular crystal transparency finished off with opaque boxes in the vertices where the vertical communications and conduits of facilities are concentrated. A volume in form of cone like a singular element that breaks the perpendicular of the set is placed.
It's been calculated, to determine the proportions of the spaces, a situation limit of 3,000 passengers and 1,000 crew, although the passengers who embark, disembark or are in transit (visitors of 1 day) are mobilized in groups no superior than 300 to avoid crowds. In the conception and design of the proposal, it is considered that the embark and the disembark are not coincident and that the companions of the passengers do not have access to the interior of the building. The equipment anticipated in the building tries to maintain the quality level that exists in the boat.
Therefore, the spaces are equipped with enough services to maintain a level of similar comfort. The building is developed in the following levels: Ground Floor, two Attics of Ground Floor, First Floor and Attic for VIP Zone. SENER was awarded to make the following works:
- Consultancy for the redaction of the Basic Project.
- Redaction of the Constructive Project.
- Tender services of construction works.
- Facultative Direction of works.
