Line 3 Guadalajara Light Rail System in Mexico

SENER carried out the project for the new Guadalajara Light Rail System Line 3 in its entirety, from the Pre-Feasibility Study stage to the Detailed Design stage.
Line 3 has a length of 22 km (13,1 miles), being 2 km (1,5 miles) in surface, 15 km (9,5 miles) in viaduct and 5 km (2,8 miles) underground. It has 18 stations, two on surface, three underground and 13 raised stations. Scope of services included pre-feasibility studies, preliminary and detailed design of Guadalajara Metro Line 3. Within the pre-feasibility studies it is included the mobility and demand studies, legal studies, environmental analysis, financial and socio-economic studies.
In the stages of preliminary and detailed design SENER has carried out the following services: Layout, Stations architecture and implementation, Stations structure, Electromechanical installations in stations, Tunnel structural design (TBM project), Viaduct structural design, urban integration, track design, Signaling systems, Communication and control rail systems, Rolling stock, Rail operational model, financial model, workshops and depots and transport junction design.
